Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick Review

Lipsticks have been my addiction now for two years especially liquid lipsticks. I did not need another lip products but it was on sale and had 20% off so why not? It costs only €4.99 but I ended up paying only €3.99 each so I saved €1 each. I bought them from Boozyshop but you can also buy them here

These are from the brand Wet n Wild. I have been a fan of their MegaLast Lip Color and bought a ton when it was on sale. I was really impressed of the quality and how pigmented and smooth it is to apply. I even think I prefer it than the maccosmetics lipsticks I  have which is almost €20! So when I saw they have liquid lipstick, I knew I need to try it since I was really blown away with their other lipstick.

Product claims:
* Glides on glossy and transforms into high - pigmented matte finish.
* Lightweight formula made with serious staying power.
* Intense pigmentation without drying the lips.

The packaging reminded me of the Dose of Colors one that I have. They are similar from the top part only the colors and effect differ. The DOC is much heavier and feels more luxurious since it is glass than the plastic packaging of the WNW. The WNW is much more see through unlike the DOC. Which should be expected since the WNW is so cheap so I didn't really expect alot from it. I just don't like how the font of it looks since it is so big and in your face. It cheapens the packaging even more.

And comparing their wands. They are almost identical as well but the WNW is thinner and has the C shape to it unlike the DOC which is just a straight slanting line. I really don't like these type of wands since it is harder for me to apply the product. I prefer the straight kind of wands like the Colourpop one. That is much easier for me.

For formula, the WNW is really thin and runny compared to DOC which is moussy. The WNW is not so opaque compared to the colourpop so I need to reapply it a few times but with the Rebel Rose is not a problem only the other two.

swatches

Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick in Rebel Rose - the shade I always buy because I'm obsessed with mauve! I can't stop buying it. This is really a pretty shade that is good for everyday wear. My top fave among the 3!

Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick in Give Me Mocha - True to its name. A very pretty mocha indeed! Love this color so much. This is the shade that is so popular now and will look great on any skintone. I just love how it brightens up my face. This needs to be reapplied a couple of times to be even. It's not so opaque for only one application and to be even.

Wet n Wild MegaLast Liquid Catsuit Matte Lipstick in Berry Recognize - I got this more for fall. This is my least fave among the 3. I just don't think I'm so into this color unlike the two. It's really a bright fuschia pink, true to the berry tone. I don't think I would buy again this kind of shade since it does not suit me so well. Like the Give Me Mocha, it needs several coats to be even.

One thing to be careful is that it stains your teeth so make sure it is dry or almost dry before you close your mouth. It takes around 20 seconds or more before it dries completely. It is not transfer proof. It does transfer and you also need to retouch after eating. But when you only drink a water then it won't be a problem. I uploaded a swatch video of these lipsticks on my channel and which I will post below.

I also used a lip balm before applying it. It is always a must for liquid lipsticks for better application and also it won't be too drying on your lips. But the WNW does not feel drying at all! Very light! I feel sometimes I'm not wearing a liquid lipstick. That's how comfortable it is on the lips. When I remove it in the evening it can be a bit hard to remove especially when I layered it throughout the day for touch ups. I prefer removing it with a cleansing wipes since it is faster that way.

I feel that this looks smoother on my lips compared to the DOC and Colourpop so a major plus point! Overall, I'm really impressed with this and it is worth it to add to my collection. I agree with their claims that it transforms into high - pigmented matte finish, it has indeed a lightweight formula and good staying power with intense pigmentation without drying the lips. The quality for the price is really amazing! They have more shades for this collection but I only chose this three since they are the only ones I wanted to have.

Have you tried them? What are your thoughts?
