Clinique Cheek Pop Review

I've had this Get Cheeky Palette from Clinique a year ago. I discovered that they produce this palette every year and this 2018 version caught my attention and immediately searched for it. Luckily, I still found one seller in the Philippines which was great since I can let it be sent to my home there so when I went on vacation I got it finally. I was so excited to get this since these shades are not available in Europe but mostly in Asia or US only.

This was a requested review so I decided to review it although it is an old palette but the shades on this palette are still available in single blush pans so it will still be useful to anyone who is curious with these shades. I really wanted to get this palette since I will save a lot than buying them individually. One pan is €26 while this palette I paid for only €44 and I got three shades already.

The packaging is a light plastic packaging that is very ideal for travelling since it is compact. I love all the shades also and I know I can use them all compared to the other palettes they released that I don't think I would use all the shades. Each blush is embossed with their iconic flower pattern that makes this so pretty to look at everytime.

SWATCHES
I'm so sorry if it is not clear because it is very gloomy for two weeks now and I can't find a day that I can take a picture that is brighter or sunny outside.

The shades

Honey Pink Pop: This is a pretty brownish pink kind of shade and my most fave and used shade with this palette. Perfect for everyday wear and will match most of the looks I go for.

Black Honey Pop: a beautiful wine shade that I haven't used that much since I normally don't go for this kind of eye look not unless it is autumn or winter time. Since it is autumn time now, I can finally use this much often. Although it is quite dark looking shade in the pan but since the formula is satin finish, it is not scary to apply it and it is not that opaque.

Nude Pop: a beautiful light beige shade and also my second favorite. Perfect for "No Makeup Look" or if you have heavy eye look this would be great. Ideal also for everyday blush shade for me.

The formula

They are satin finish that gives a nice sheen on your face but without glitters. So easy to blend and just enough pigmentation for me, you won't worry that you will over apply it since the formula is not that opaque. There is no scent which is great and it lasts pretty long on my face. It might fade a bit at the end of the day but not that much.

My verdict

One of the best blush formula I have ever used. The longevity, formula and how it applies is perfect for me. Now I know why a lot of people love this blush range from this brand. They offer a lot of shades which unfortunately not all are available in Europe but mostly in Asia or USA. If I can get more shades, I would definitely buy more. They also offer every now and then different pattern on their blush which is also fun to collect. I would definitely recommend this if you are looking for a satin and reliable blush that is also good for sensitive skin since that is what Clinique is all about. A very easy to use blush and no fuss.
